3 months agoCame here tonight for a drink after a long flight and I was sitting right in front of bartender older guy with white beard and blue cap. He by-pass me and attended 4 other customers that were there after me not once came to me…It’s because I look Hispanic. Super wrong and Racist. Horrible experience. Little does he know that I work for a very well known news cast. I will be calling the Manager in the morning. They will be all over the news!!!

4 months agoMe and the family have been traveling and we landed in Dallas, as our flight was re-routed do to a winter storm up north. We were hungry and needed a place to set up camp, as we were on a six hour delay. We had grabbed whataburger. (We've never tried) as we jus sit down, a representation of the facility... I'll name(King Kevin) long Grey beard, Grey hair, Gallops over to me and my daughter. No hello, no "excuse me sir, no our policicy dictates one must order from our menu to eat here". All we received was "You can't sit here this is a full service bar!" no hint of care, or a smile or a question... Would you like to order a drink? .... Dear spectators... I'm going to be in this airport for hrs.... I'm going to have a few drinks before I head back to the icy tundra.... It's my last day of vacation.... But guess where I won't have a drink, now or ever?? I implore all of you to take heed before you spend a nickel at such an establishment..... Don't.... You will certainly be disappointed.... I hope ownership sees this and the other reviews and makes some kind of change.

4 months ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I went to AV8 last week and had the BEST experience thanks to our bartender, Kristen. She was AMAZING—made my drinks with just the right amount (perfect every time!) and had such a great, fun personality. I came in feeling kinda down, but she completely lifted my mood and turned my night around. The vibe was fun, welcoming, and memorable because of her. Huge shoutout to Kristen—she’s a gem! 🍸✨ Definitely becoming back!

6 months agoI was declined service after ordering and consuming two double drinks. It happened towards the end of the shift of one of bartending ladies. I paid my bill, left a generous tip in cash. Next, I see the same kind of drink I had last but with the exception being that I didn’t order it. Therefore, I kindly asked my server if it was from her to me. To which she responded “ No, you ordered it and if you want to bring it up, you’ll need to do it with the girl that just came in after me.” Wait…. wait…. It gets better. The other server say that I did ordered over a two hour limit, that I was over served and I would have to wait 2 hrs to order another drink. All of this while I am waiting for their cook to come back from her break so I could order some food. The other server insist that it was me who ordered the last drink I drank. Okay. Never mind. I kindly asked for a bill and paid it despite the fact I didn’t order it. Where I am from, if you show your appreciation for the service and leave a cash tip, most of the time your server will “buy “ you a drink at the end of his/her shift. While paying for a drink I never ordered but consumed, I paid another bill but at that point I felt that the service charge/ tip money was never earned because of me being tricked to paying for something that I didn’t order. But I gave them a second chance as my flight that day kept getting delayed. When I came back after spending some time on reading and getting a Whataburger, I was informed that I had reached a daily service limit and that I had to leave. Not only I was cheated but embarrassed in front of other customers that were there at the time. I am strongly advising anyone traveling and passing through the E terminal to stay as far away as possible from this place. Most unfriendly and unprofessional establishment I have ever visited. STAY AWAY FROM the “AV8 Bar Cafe “ located at E terminal of DFW. I guess both are worth each other.

8 months agoWatched the bartender take orders from those that arrived after me despite telling me I was next. Then saw him short my order even tho others ordered the exact same. Also revised to clean the existing spills. Is it a coincidence that I was the only POC in the establishment?? Inquiring minds want to know.

3 years agoOne star is too many. I stopped momentarily, sat in one of the seats just to check a text. The waiter asked me if I wanted anything and I said I was just sitting for a moment. He said if you’re not buying then you can’t sit here. 🤔 Well, that ensures there will be zero dollars exchanged here today or in the future. Thank you free enterprise. BTW, AV8, the idea is to try and generate income not force it away. Also, hardly a person sitting in their establishment. ✌️

4 years agoStaff was friendly, beer was cold however $14 for old sushi cost them 2 stars. That meal was $25 plus $5 on tips. 😬

4 years agoA long layover made better by the hard working bartender at AV8 bar at the Dallas Ft. Worth airport. A good place to get a drink and food while you wait
